How do I get rid of mushrooms that are appearing on the wood next to the hot water heater?
Q. Our hot water heater is in the back of a closet behind the wall and we have a sheet over the hole. There is a 2x4 on the floor in front of it and it is moldy and now it is growing flat foldy brown mushrooms. It is in the kids bedroom closet.
A. Mushrooms are the seeding part (the 'fruit' in essence) of fungi.

How can we get our new cat to socialize?
Q. ok, basically, our problem is this, we have four cats. One momma cat and three kittens. about five days ago my wife opened the door and right there on the porch, there's a half starved five month old kitten who just walks right up to her.
We expected the usual two or three days of problems with the other cats, but we're still having troubles. Diva and her kittens keep themselves to the kitchen and our room, while Stranger stays around the living room and the kids bedroom and refuses to go into the other end of the house at all. The kittens come around every now and again, but she just hisses at them and they retreat to their end of the house. They just refuse to realise that they're all in one house together and that's how it's going to be.

Diva and her kittens are really afraid of the new cat because cats (especially males) will kill kittens in the wild. And your Stranger is afraid of and hostile to any other kittens - afraid the the mother will kill him and hostile to any competition for food. I recommend not allowing the newcomer to get close to the kittens for at least a week. If possible keep it in one room for a couple of days until it calms down. Pet the other kittens right before you feed the newcomer, which will transfer the smell of the other kittens to its dish. It will begin to associate their smells with food. Do the same thing to Diva and her kittens - touch the newcomer and transfer its smell to their dishes. Once everyone is used to each other's smells you'll have a more relaxed group. Ok. We are going on vacation in June my husband wants a beach house but we are taking the kids to Disney World?
Q. Need help finding a place that can make all of us happy. Cause we also want to have couples nite out while we out of town. Someone please help me cause it's hard trying to make all these people happy. I also need a beach house thats big enough for 15 audlts and 6 kids. Or even two 4 bedrooms next to each other.
A. If you get rent a beach house, be prepared to spend at least an hour and a half driving to Disney. Maybe more, if you hit traffic.
Atlantic side: New Smyrna is a beautiful beach that's not far from Orlando (little more than an hour away) but not much to do there other than the beach. You can try Daytona, which is a little to the north of New Smyrna, but also means a longer drive to Disney.
If you want to spend your vacation having a lot to do, then you may want to consider just staying in Orlando. Unless you want to stick to a beach house and just drive back and forth every time you want to do something.
The Gulf Coast is even farther from Disney-about 2.5 hours away.
