Can you tell me some ways to organize a kid's room in a pretty way?

Q. Can you tell me some ways to organize a kid's room in a pretty way?

A. Creating a jungle theme kids bedroom is an opportunity to use really fun colors and prints. Consider painting the room a fresh green or a bright yellow to provide a warm and exotic backdrop for the rest of the room's elements.

Instead of typical window treatments, think about getting some silk vines and foliage from the craft store and draping them around the windows as you would with a scarf curtain. Then perch stuffed parrots or monkeys nearby to round out the jungle canopy effect.

You can use jungle themed bedding, or simply use bright solids and stripes, and accent the room with throw pillows in animal-print fabrics. There are several sources for wall stickers in a jungle theme to add even more visual interest.

Fairy Tale Princess Themes

Many elements of décor for little girls' rooms lend themselves to dreaming of once upon a time and far, far away. From canopy beds to eyelet and lace and pale pink, you may already have many of the elements in place to make your daughter's room a real Princess's room. To bring the fantasy one or two step closer to reality, rely on some paint techniques and a few choice accessories.

Paint the ceiling a sky blue and sponge paint on some clouds; turn the walls of your girl's room into castle walls with faux painting techniques, and embellish them with stenciled runners of ivy you can even add some silk ivy from the craft store for additional dimension. Swath tulle or silk flowers where you'd otherwise put a valance and curtains, and be sure to add a stuffed frog prince someplace in the room just for a bit of whimsy!

how do i organize a cluttered room without spending a cent?
Q. my room is terribly cluttered..
besides shelves and getting rid of things is there anything that i can do about it?
my room isnt that small, but isnt as big as the master bedroom.
also any websites that deal with this would be great.
i just dont have enough space in my room so things end up on the floor.
the problem with shelving is i cant put it up myself and i just got out of high school and still live with my parents. but my father never has time to help me and he procrastinates terribly! please help !
moon its not the factor that the room is messy.i have boxes and such on the floor and things like that.and i do throw things out. i clean my room 2 times a week since i have multiple medical problems i need to keep it clean so i dont get sick. i dont have much space on the dresser either due to the fact that i own a rat, so the housing takes up a little under half of the dresser.and my tv is on the dresser as well, but i never watch tv anymore.. just once in a while, so i need to relocate that as well but have no clue where to put it
im not a pack rat. all my close i wear all year round, im a pants and tshirt girl, but anywho.. the boxes arent big, they are just the ones i kept for my rat...there is nothing that i can get rid of.. i use it all and none is junk.. there isnt much in my room as it is!
the boxes i have are a bit bigger than you hand, and not crates, they are cardboard.. i saved them for the rat. and some are bigger but they have things in them... maybe i just need to get my dad to put shelves up and all that junk (if its possible)

A. If by boxes you mean crates you can always turn them sideways and stack them on top of each other as a temporary bookshelf. Also look around your home. See if there are any bookshelves or totes not being used. If you have extra canvas bags or duffel bags around you can use them for storing out of season clothes, keepsakes that you don't want to display but are to valuable to get rid of, etc. Then store the bags under the bed, but don't forget you did!

How should the rooms in a house organize suppose I am making a plan for a house?
Q. So i designed a house out of autocad, after that, i never really thought about how where rooms should be placed, its pretty big,

any links to articles or advice as to where would these "living room" "Bedroom" "dining room" be more appropriate, i would appreciate if links to articles concerning this matter be given.

Would Architectural books help?

A. What you can do is consider the type of family you are building a house for - that would be a help in creating a design. Purpose would define the layout.

For example, a young family with a pregnant wife and one two year old child would want a single-level house with the master bedroom with all the bedrooms close together. No stairs, open kitchen with easy access, plenty of room to get around, and a room where the husband could do work and the child could have a playroom. The mother would need access to the child so the playroom needs to be near the kitchen. And the laundry would need to be next to the kitchen so all the chores could be done and still keep an eye on the child. Arrangement could be considered like a letter of the alphabet to understand - A, X for this family - everything merges to the central kitchen

A middle-aged couple with teenaged children. Master suite on one end of the house, kids rooms on the other with perhaps a bonus room over the garage that the oldest could move into when they hit 18 - kind of separate but still with family. Big kitchen and sit down eating area. Three-car garage. Office space for parent(s) and a tv/entertainment room that would be far apart from each other so noise isn't disturbing. Three bathrooms. Big spaces. Consider the shape the letter L, or T or F - separation and distance

And then you'd have the modern couple, middle-aged, both professionals. Huge master-suite, each with their own bathroom suite with huge closets and separate dressing area. Spa-like. This is the power couple. Big professional kitchen for entertaining with a bedroom suite for the live-in housekeeper on the far end of the house. Formal dining room open to living room, that flows easily to allow guests to mingle and merge to the outdoors where there's a beautiful patio, pool and entertainment area. This is a four bedroom house, with two separate guest suites away from the master suite and far enough away from the kitchen and housekeeping, so in this house bedroom run the circumference of the house, or almost like a Y, V or K

Look at houseplans for floorplan layouts to get a feel for them, but keep purpose in mind - http://www.houseplans.com

How much would it be to hire a maid bi monthly for a one bedroom apartment for general cleaning?
Q. In east Tennessee, one bedroom apartment. General pick up, vaccuming, kitchen/dishes, bathroom, bedroom etc
also if you know any websites for me to check out please post those too
I'm a mother trying to go to school and work and take care of my toddler. I need a break! or at least some help

A. You don't need a maid, just organise your time better.
Pick up and put away after using things.
Hang clothes up or put into laundry basket when you take them off.
Bath kid with bubble bath, he will enjoy it and it cuts down on soiled baths. Get in the bath with him.
Clean shower while showering.
Wipe vanity and basin out after cleaning teeth in the morning.
Take clothes out of dryer as soon as the cycle ends and fold them. Cuts back on Ironing.
When cooking make enough for 2-3 meals and freeze the extra. Dinner just needs heating on the extra busy days.
Do dishes once/day. Rinse and stack but make sure they are washed and put away before going to bed.
Ditto with the living area. Only takes a couple of minutes.
Put a load of washing on before leaving for the day, or while doing other tasks/study.

There are lots of "windows of time" in 24 hrs if you look for them. Use them to at least start a cleaning job even if you are unable to finish. You will be surprised at how much you can achieve.

Hope I have given you some ideas and saved you some money.
