"My house is always a wreck. I need a weekly cleaning schedule since I have two toddlers and also I am pregnant. We have a two bedroom house with dinning, living, laundry, one bathroom and a mud room. Thanks." Now that is how you should have written your posting. You elected just kind of invent your own language rules and in "no rules." Speaks poorly for your knowledge and discipline much like your house speaks poorly for domestic responsibility and you having two toddlers plus being pregnant speaks volumes as to reproductive responsibility. YOU decided to get pregnant three times. And I would bet money that this house has been a wreck before the first child was even born. You see, I know people that are just like you. And the issue is not a lack of schedule. It is psychological and deeply rooted in your psyche. I am limited in space on this forum so I need to be brief. First, an experiment. Go to the kitchen and set a timer for two minutes. Start it. During those two minutes you shall wash, dry, stack, put away any plates, cutlery, pots and pans that have been placed all over the place. Once the timer stops, you stop. Measure what you did as in how much you got done. It shall amaze you. Now, set the timer again to one minute. Start it. During these 60 seconds you shall arrange what is left in some order as to wash them. If you say "But I have a dishwasher!" OK, I understand that. My point is that the dishwasher never gets loaded or never gets emptied. If it does, please measure the time in loading it as many people wash the dishes BEFORE placing the dishes in the dishwasher!! What? Yep. They do. This takes longer and it is more cumbersome and expensive. That is it. As for cooking, follow this pattern. Morning. Family eats. Dishes come out of the cabinets. They get used. They get cleaned and place back into the cabinets. No excuses. You can do this in two minutes. I do this myself. Next, living room. Nothing lives there. Clothes, shoes, toys, etc. Nothing. Kids play with toys? Fine. They get picked up. Same with the bathroom. Two minutes. Done. For people like you, a schedule does not work. Why? No discipline for if you had discipline you would not need a schedule. About children. STOP HAVING THEM! Get a tubal ligation or some form of practical birth control. You have no ideas how much money and time you shall spend in ten more years. NO IDEA. STOP. Please! It is not your job to create over 50 more people on the planet. OK? I know of a family that had five kids. These five had four to five themselves. From two came five. From those seven came 28. Add these up and it goes exponentially. OK? Stop. Please. You have a husband or partner? Guess what? He cleans, he washes the tub, the children, the room, his shoes, etc. ALL MUST PARTICIPATE. Use the two minute drill. But somehow, I get this feeling since I have seen this before, this never gets done. Psychology interferes. People tend not to do what they think is work, or too hard. Well, the health of the children depends on cleanliness. That includes the refrigerator and the bathroom and their bedrooms. Since I believe that people express their personalities via their writing and you clearly showed total lack of discipline in that area, I can only challenge you and have hope. But reality, based on past experiences is that you most likely will find it too difficult to change. Sorry. Reality is real. I hope that you follow my advice. Having children and a home is work. It can enjoy or dreaded. I enjoy my home and work to keep it clean, tidy and healthy. And I do. Just before I came to the computer I did the two minute drill post lunch. I shall pray for you and your family.

Themes for 14 year old bedroom?
Courtney
ok, furniture, decorations, bedspread, paint etc. needed
i need themes! one i wont grow out of, so no beachy and im not sporty either
something unique!
i have limited room space, very small room, and the one of the biggest walls is a window seat, with the three windows looking out, so limited space
storage ideas too
not too expensive
murals could be cool
links and pictures appreciated!!1
thanx to everyone who answers!!
funnily enough aerie, the purple thing is exactly what i have, with cheetah print bedspread and curtains, but i dont really like it, and the antique furniture (yes, i have that to lol) takes up too much room, so i need space savers, but i really think youre ideas are cool(i mean, my bedroom is exactly what you said lol)

well first of all I'm new to this so I'll just go with the flow first of all since its a bedroom your working with you might won't to do the floor if its hard wood or something cold in the winter you might want to get a through rug or area rug there are cheap or expensive it depends where you buy it at.
and then there's paint first you want to know the color there are different places that sell paint.and a cool idea is to work with stencils there are different places where you can get stencils and printings off the internet and even free idea.
you might want to try walmart.com and go to the (for the home)they have bedding/crafts/decor/kids & teen rooms/rugs and storage/organization even window coverings.
and sense your room is small and for a teen you might have a twin bed online at walmart.com they have the bed in a bag sets.
here's a pretty blue striped bed in a bag set.http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10597398
it has * 63'' x 86'' comforter
* Bed skirt with 14'' drop
* 20" x 26" sham
* Flat sheet: 66'' x 96''
* Fitted sheet: 39'' x 76''; fits mattress up to 14''D
* Standard pillowcase: 20'' x 30''
and its cheap it only 40.00 dollars but this is just an example they have all different designs I'm just saying bed in a bag sets are cheap
and if its a small enough room you can probable even check your local good will they sometimes have cheap wall borders...
and your local library might also help by giving you free older teen magazines or home and garden magazines with helpful ideas inside...
on about.com just type in teen bedroom design or how to design a teen bedroom or designing on a budget or just look up things online like discount wall borders or discount wall murals or look up teen bedroom themes now days its all about the color so look in some teen magazines and match they color to the wall even if its a color of a t-shirt or a picture of a pair of shoes it the color your looking for and once you find it try working with the color to make your own them if you have to. also try looking up websites with how tos.
