Why does my son's bedroom ceiling light no longer work?

Q. I've had a kids plane ceiling light in my son's bedroom for many years (a yumbo children's ceiling light, if you want to google it to see the type) but one day it just stopped working. I replaced the bulb but it still does not work. Any Ideas?

A. Bad pull switch, or broken/burnt wire inside light fixture.
