A. use colours that are quite grown up so not pink, nice wallpaper i would use light cyan blue or magnolia mabey purple? not together! umm you can always have things like posters & bed duvets depends on ure budget asda, tecso & charity shops always have good & cheap stuff, u could do a fairy theme but definatly make anything lil girlish removable like hanging fairy wings from celing or plants though kids would probs just get mud everywear soo mabey not! ask them what colour they would like it steer them to more grown up colours and then paint it that, have fun! and if u have an ikea near you then go there, i like matching stuff i go everywear charity shops ect till i get the same colour and it looks neater that way, defo get storige units if you dnt ave em the r useful! gd luck!

I really want to make my room really cath kidston-ish without spending alot?! help!?
Q. Hello!
I really want to make my room really like floral and Cath Kidston-ish without paying LOADS for it.
I am going to paint my room cream and then i have bought a plain pillow and i am going to decorate it with Cath kidston patches of fabric. But is there any other ideas that i could do? I want to get a throw for my bed and either make my own Duvet or buy a cover that isnt cath kidston but looks like it or one that is cheap?! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks alot x

A. rose-patterned country-style bedding can be found cheap at various cloth.bedding stores or you may to make your own with materials from a sewing shop like Needle Haven or Cloths & Clutter. you may like to use pastel colors for things in your room. buy a large rose-patterned cream-colored rug to put underneath a cute white shabby chic french-style bed fr the best KIDS TON effect. pretty white elegant frames with rose-patterned needlework in them keeps the walls of the bedroom in balance. you may like a large mirror with a rose-patterned frame around it. a floral pattern will do and you may like to paint over a white frame with bits of pink and yellow and blue for just the flowers. a small tip: mirrors make a small room bigger and a big room look... like a mirror house in a carnival! cute white bookshelves would be very nice, in a shabby-chic theme to match your bed. on the back of the inside of the shelves, apply cute rose-print wallpaper matching your bed. cute lampshades in rose-patterns can be found at Value Village or Goodwill (you know, basically any second-hand store). you may want a matching shade for your ceiling light, but i suggest going with a cute shabby-chic white wrought iron mini-chandelier with glass beads and such and maybe little pink rose details etc.

you get the drift? i personally adore the white one and covet it for my bedroom, but i was meaning to go more for the pink-rose (not white rose) theme for YOUR bedroom. the chandelier was just too beautiful not to share!

buy a matching , dresser, chest of drawers, and desk. fill up the top of your dresser with cute rose-patterned tea cups, hair brushes, vases, pots, pink perfume bottles, poutpourri, a cute pink piggy bank patterned with flowers, hair accessories, glittery boxes, a kate kidston jewellery box, etc. you can get cute glitzy things for less than $5 at charity stores, ya know?

decorate with pink fairy lights around hte edge of your dresser mirror. add cute trinkets and such on desk and chest of drawers.

hope i helped!
