How much would it be to hire a maid bi monthly for a one bedroom apartment for general cleaning?

Q. In east Tennessee, one bedroom apartment. General pick up, vaccuming, kitchen/dishes, bathroom, bedroom etc
also if you know any websites for me to check out please post those too
I'm a mother trying to go to school and work and take care of my toddler. I need a break! or at least some help

A. You don't need a maid, just organise your time better.
Pick up and put away after using things.
Hang clothes up or put into laundry basket when you take them off.
Bath kid with bubble bath, he will enjoy it and it cuts down on soiled baths. Get in the bath with him.
Clean shower while showering.
Wipe vanity and basin out after cleaning teeth in the morning.
Take clothes out of dryer as soon as the cycle ends and fold them. Cuts back on Ironing.
When cooking make enough for 2-3 meals and freeze the extra. Dinner just needs heating on the extra busy days.
Do dishes once/day. Rinse and stack but make sure they are washed and put away before going to bed.
Ditto with the living area. Only takes a couple of minutes.
Put a load of washing on before leaving for the day, or while doing other tasks/study.

There are lots of "windows of time" in 24 hrs if you look for them. Use them to at least start a cleaning job even if you are unable to finish. You will be surprised at how much you can achieve.

Hope I have given you some ideas and saved you some money.

Any tips on organizing a girls bedroom?
Q. I am a teen girl and I need to organize my room easy and nice looking as i can. give any tips, advice or pictures you have. thanks!

A. Start by cleaning your room. Put books on the bookcase, clothes in the closet or dresser, shoes in the closet. Find permanent storage locations for every item. Get rid of things you've outgrown, whether its clothes or old toys or stuffed animals. Once you get it all put away, make sure you tidy up every day.

Take a look at http://keystosimpleliving.com. There is a whole section on organization you might find helpful. There is also a page on kid's bedrooms, although it deals mostly with children, not teenagers.

What is the best way to organize a house, and keep it clean daily. My husband tends to be kind of messy.?
Q. My husband and I have 2 dogs, no kids and both work full time. we can't buy a new house, so I want to feel good about our house, and possibly learn some home improvements myself. I have only been married 1 year and a half, and we just can't seem to keep the house organized and tidy all the time. Am I crazy for wanting a nice clean house to come home to? Is there a simple way to get more space in a closet. we have 4 bedrooms 1 bath.
Thank you for listening to my frustrations, any advice would be greatly appreciated, keep in mind I can't sound like I am nagging my husband lol!!!

A. Glad to help. Most of us have way too much stuff, so start by getting rid of everything you don't absolutley need or use. It's much easier to keep clean. For example how many sets of sheets do two people need? I say just two, maybe even one- you wash it and put it back no need to store it. Also don't keep things that only do one special thing. They take up space and you rarely use them after the first week.
Make a week of going through each room and see how much you can do without. Maybe you could make it a contest with your husband to see who can get rid of more. Ok all that being said, now to cleaning. Make sure everything you own has a specific place not just floating around the house.
You both need to make the effort to put things in their place. Including laundry(hamper) clean clothes closet, etc. After eating take care of dishes right away either by putting them in dishwasher or washing and putting away. Make sure at the end of the day you go through(both of you) and do a quick clean-puttting everything away so you can start the day fresh tom. Then when you get home from work you may just have a liitle tidying to do from that morning. Set up a cleaning schedule like saturday laundry. Monday mop floors Tuesday clean bathrooms etc. so you really shouldn't need to be dealing with clutter after you get going then it's just a matter of doing your daily chores. You'll both appreciate having a haven for a home. God Bless you!

What is the easiest way to decorate little boy bedrooms?
Q. Okay here we go they love to play of course so need some ideas for keeping toys organized. And decorating ideas 2 boys to a bedroom and does any one have any ideas for a replacement for blinds. They destroy them and I don't care for blinds anyways I need a fresh idea to block the sun and get rid of blinds!!! Thanks a bunch!!!!

A. As far as the blinds go, I would suggest a full window shade instead. It won't have the cords and vinyl pieces for them to break, like traditional mini blinds have. They're much easier for children and at the same time, very stylish.

Something like this. http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?DeptID=48141&CatID=48141&Grptyp=ENS&ItemId=15554ee&cmRef=http://www.jcpenney.com/products/C61069.jsp

With the decorating, don't spend too much because their interests change quickly.
