Any ideas for a teen room for a girl?

Q. Im in middle school and im re-doing my room... I looove lime green and zebra patterns. I was thinking of doing a green room with a pink border and a zebra bed spread. Now that im thinking about it it seems a little to kid-ish. I was also thinking about using polka dots or something like that. So do you have any ideas of a room with those things in it but its not to kiddy ?

What does your child's bedroom look like?

Q. Just looking for some ideas! Include their age and gender :) Thanks!

A. Right now my kids are sharing but won't after the first of the year. They have each their own side decorated. Anyway.. we are remodeling soon and moving the office around. I've just purchased new bedding and desks for each of them for Christmas- so I'll just tell you what I'm going to be doing with the new rooms.

11 year old- She wants her room in blue and lime green.

We are painting her walls a light lime green and she got a white desk with a white stool that has a blue cushion to match the bedding. I'm giving her one of my older antique dressers that is a rustic blue/green color with brown trim with a large mirror on top. She has one in pink and white and one in blue and white. She likes sock monkeys, too so those are all over bed.

My 7 yr old- She has Rock Star bedding and a zebra quilt to go on the bottom. She wants her room hot pink but I'm going to do it in a light hot pink. She has the same white desk with a stool that has a hot pink cushion. She is using one of the other rustic blue/green dresseres of mine. (I hate their old dressers and I'm selling them). Her room accessories are basically her musical equipment (karaoke machine, guitar, soon to be her keyboard on the stand. her mic etc). For wall art she likes bright posters of animals.
