is it illegal to stay in 1bedroom with a kid that is less than one year. it is me,wife and kid in 1 bedroom in apartment

I'm assuming you mean the apartment only has 1 bedroom. Call your local fire department. It is the fire marshall who sets these regulations in the US and it varies by state. New Mexico for example only allows 2 people of any age per bedroom. Missouri on the other hand allows 2 people plus 1 child under 2 per bedroom. Just ask the fire department what the fire code is where you live.

@Sara: US fire codes do not literally dictate where your children sleep. You just have to have a certain number of rooms per every certain number of people as a precaution in the event of a fire.

I need to set off a flea bomb in 3 bedrooms 2 which are kid bedrooms. Any tips or suggestions?

I only have carpet in my 3 bedrooms other floors are tile and laminate. Can I shut the doors to these bedrooms while bombing them? Does that make the rest of my house safe from cleaning? Do I need to remove curtains in the bedrooms-that I don't really want to wash? Do I need to remove play toys? Should I tape the closet doors? What about the mattress? I've never done this before and I really don't want to put my kids in harms way but either my daughter is allergic to the cat or she's allergic to fleas. Yes. I have found a few fleas but I know there could be more so I want to take every step to getting rid of what I don't see. The cat is now outside and stays there. Tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Just follow the directions on the pack. Plan for an outing for about 4 hours, have the kids outside, set the bombs, close the doors and leave the house.

When you come home open all doors and windows then bring the kids in.

I wouldn't go with a theme, I would make it colorful, like paint the walls and have neutral curtains and light fixtures but I would be sure that they each had a shelf or some kind of storage to call their own that they can have their things on. I would keep the bedspreads the same color but put pillows and little touches that are different on the beds. For example, a red ladybug pillow for her and a red car pillow for him. The ideas are endless in my head right now. I'm sure you'll come up with something great and they'll love it. Take care.

Does anyone know where i can but a barney the dinosaur chair?

A. That is going to be tough. I suggest you by her a plain chair (either a toddler or kids chair or whatever), paint it "barney purple" and put barney stickers all over it. Then you can paint it with a clear laminate so the stickers don't come off and the chair has a nice glossy coat. Presto, a home made Barney chair that your daughter can pass down to her own kids.

Q. I want new bedroom furniture. I like dark colors, modern, simple, teenager style, and comfortable. Do you know any websites where they might sell furniture like this. A. There are lots of websites with lots of product. The problem is the price doesn't always match the quality. If you plan on only keeping your furniture for 1 to 5 years and treat your furniture with kid gloves Ikea may be a good choice, however, ask anyone that has had Ikea furniture for a while or attempted to move it. It tends to auto destruct upon moving. Those cam lock type assembly hardware just don't like to be moved. What makes it fairly inexpensive is what makes it poor quality. The whole thing is about freight and warehouse space. This should NOT YOUR PROBLEM. In my humble opinion, virtually all assemble yourself furniture is inferior quality mostly made of particleboard filled with formaldehyde. My family and I have been in the furniture business both manufacturing and retailing for over 60 years. Our retail store went on line almost 20 years ago. I understand both manufacturing and retailing. I sell what I make every day of the week in my store. Consider checking out a local store with less than 5 to 10 stores. in my experience the larger the chain, the poorer the quality and service. Also, in this difficult housing market, many both large and small stores are struggling and over 20,000 retail furniture stores both large and small have gone out of in business in the last 18 months. PAY BY CREDIT CARD for a little protection. I have noticed fairly good quality furniture in Costco. In the STORE not on line.
