Room theme!! Ideas!?!?!?!?

Chelseaaaa

Okay for my room in my new house I want to do a Princess theme. (Not a little kids kind of princess though!) Any ideas for bedspread? The room? (the wallpaper is pink with tiny pink roses, so of course its gotta be pink!)
Thanks loveess<33
I am 13 by the way so don't make this too childish. lol(:
But I like pink ! ALOT!! Try to use pink anddddd lots of sparkly stufff.
hehe(:

Answer
You should try Lavender: Instead of Pink: No matter how grown up you are Pink SCREAMS little girl! Try a lavender or purple color, that would be awesome!! Here is a virtual room designer: Pick the room you are going to design: Living room, dining room, bedroom, kitchen, etc! then decorate. Change the wall colors, area rugs, ceiling colors, trim, cabinets ETC ETC ETC! It will give you a good idea on what type of style you like and what you don't like!

Hope this helps! There is also another designer on that site, an advertisement from Shaw: They have a virtual room designer too, one where you can actually upload your digital photos and virtually design your OWN room, before you buy, for free of course! it's amazing! :)

Ideas for a cool bedroom?

malluhhree

I'm in seventh grade, and five years ago I shared my room with my older sister. We were young, so it was girly with princesses and flowers and such. The problem is, my sister moved out, and I'm stuck in this room. It's never been redecorated. All my little kid stuff like flower bed spread and rug and Disney princess lamp is still here. Is there anyway I can fix it without getting new furniture? I want it to be a cool place for me and my friends to hang out. The floor is hardwood, and the walls are like neon green. Any ideas??? Do I need to buy new furniture or is there anyway to decorate it and fix it????

Answer
remove the lamp shade from the lamp it'l look cool and urban with out the disney, just remove the rug the hardwood floor can look pretty cool! find a cheap blanket and put it over or half over ur bed spread. neon green can look awesome if paired with purple find small common cute purple Accessories to put in ur room even just ribbon around the handles those are just some idea's if u really arnt happy then u can can buy new furniture but make it old enough so it can last till ur at least 18 otherwise u'll just have to re do it again, u can also paint the furniture properly and buy new curtains and a new bed spread, hope it helps!

Princess bedroom ideas?? room is hot pink (not my color choice)?

Deb

I moved into a house that house has a hot pink room and want to make it into a princess room for a 3 yr old little princess. I would love any suggestions.

Answer
Definitely a canopy bed and lots of pastel colors. Maybe some wall stickers and if you could repaint the room you should make it lavender and light pink.

Cute princess furniture-

Fun games for kids?

Q. Hey I'm babysitting in 30 min for 9 kids!!! (it was supposed to be 4, but other babysitters cancelled). I'm babysitting kids ages 2, 2, 4, 4, 6, 6, 8, 10, 10 during an adult Christmas party. I'm supposed to keep the kids upstairs in the bedrooms or playrooms, any ideas for fun games!!! Prayers are appreciated!!!!!
Ya, it was supposed to just be four, but then 3 more, then 2 more!

Answer
I just had a party and had a bunch of kids over....their absolute favorite game (boys included) was this game called Pretty, Pretty Princess...it only cost like $5....I think only up to 4 can play, so you might want to buy two of them. Twister would be good too. We also made puppets out of brown paper lunch bags and construction paper and then had a puppet show. You could have a contest trying to build the best house out of blocks...make the older kids team up with younger kids to make it fair. GOOD LUCK!

Good websites that will give me ideas on decorating kids rooms?

What are some good party games for 3-4 year olds?

My daughter is turning 4 and I want a few games for her party where the kids can win prizes. But it has to be simple enough so the kids don't get frustrated or distracted.
I'm thinking pin the tail on the donkey and candyland. Any other suggestions? It's a princess party. Nothing messy because all the girls are gonna be wearing pretty dresses.

Answer
For my daughters 4th birthday we had a princess party. all the girls dressed in there princess dresses the pictures were amazing great minds think alike ;) I made cupcakes and tinted frosting and put different candy types in bowls and let the kids decorate there own cupcakes! THEY LOVED IT! you could even give prizes for different types of cupcakes... ie... cupcake with the most sprinkles, cupcake with the most mnm's ect... till all the kids have won a prize. I know what you might be thinking what a mess but it really wasn't a big mess at all. parents help. also set up a karaoke machine.... kids love nothing more than to be able to feel like the center of attention. use your computer and find fun kid friendly songs and let them sing along. another fun idea is to follow the dora theme and let them go on a treasure hunt and hide things throughout the house and have them look at a map and they can go to the bathroom say... and in the bathtub they might have to drain it and put aside the toys before they can go to the bedroom and in the bedroom they might have to pull pinata strings before they can get to the dinning room to decorate the cakes ect... you get the point. have fun with it!!

Redecorating an 8 year olds bedroom, the room is small, so I need space saving suggestions?

Nancy H

I also want the room to grow with her, so the furniture has to be neutral. I want her to be able to have sleep-overs, would a trundle be better than a double bed? Can I use the trundle space for storage when not using it as a bed?

Answer
Instead of a trundle bed I would buy the bunk style beds that are a full size bed on bottom and a twin on top. To make it really cute in a girls room, attach fabric panels to the top rail and drapr it down over the bottom bed. This will give a princess feel to it. Tie it back on the front corners if you would like. You can use the space under the bed for storage. Those space bags really do work and are great for out of season clothing. Wicker trunks are nice for storage and if you add a pretty cushion on top you have a seating area as well. Add a torchier lamp next to it and you have a great reading space. A desk is great at this age . I would suggest you if you don't already have one. Can get rid of some mess and used for homework. Place a mirror behind it and can also serve as a vanity as she grows older. Most important, Let your daughter choose things she likes for her room. She is old enough to help make decorating choices. LET HER COME UP WITH HER OWN IDEAS> YOU WILL BE SURPRISED AT THE GREAT IDEAS KIDS CAN COME UP WITH

What are some Interesting facts about you?

Mrmrmrmr M

cos I am writing my profile for our engineering graduation yearbook and I was wondering what to write in the section interesting facts about myself?
I won a sport competition no-one knows about during the course, I won a karaoke comp once, I dunno what to write, I dont want to look like a show off, what would you put about yourself to give me ideas ? thanks!

Answer
About me:

I was the Pickle Princess three years in a row in our small town.

In 1976, my bedroom was redecorated in red, white and blue american flags.

I believed in little imaginary people as a kid.

Sleepwalking is a regular occurence at our house, and I even have complete conversations with awake people, and cook in my sleep sometimes.

Generally get a perfect score on every test I take, or at least get a 98%.

My husband and I have rescued over 100 animals and rehabilitated them, and found good homes for them.

I have 3 ring binder for 13 years of Thanksgiving that has every seating chart, menu, shopping list, cooking schedule, drawings of table decorations, and can make a really fantastic Thanksgiving meal without much effort because of this.

My greatest achievement is being half of a happily married couple.

I work the polls as an election inspector.

Every room in our house has at least one shade of green in it somewhere.

I've met some important people, like Ross Perot, George Bush Senior, Roger Smith, Letitia Baldridge, but the most impressive person I have ever known was my father.

My favorite President in my lifetime was President Reagan. I voted for Ross Perot twice. Although I am registered Republican, I have worked on elections for a Democratic congressperson, Independent Presidents, and believe in much of the Libertarian policy.

I have been working in our family business since I was four years old, so I have 39 years experience in retailing and sales.
