Im looking for lots of ideas
it needs to be neutral without being too boyish
but also not girly, obviously...
it also needs to go with all the ages as well
I was thinking skulls for the girls since they like them
and more pirate for my son
but give me your ideas
with details like colors,etc...
thank you
Answer
light blue walls with bunk beds for the girls and a small bed for the boy. i would get the girls girly bedding that has light blue in it and the boy nice blue bedding. i would incorporate the pirate theme by getting pirate pillows and stuffed animals. this way the room is not too girly or too boyish.

I am re-decorating 2 kids bedrooms, 2 boys and 2 girls. Any ideas?
Britney Pr
The girls are 5 and 3, and the boys are 7 and 3. And I need ideas for the themes that they wont grow out of too quickly, but that they will love when they see. And I need some ideas about shelving and space saving, just so it doesnt look like a clutter of toys all over. Any suggestions?
Answer
Rather than using posters, how about a wall hanging? A wall hanging is something (of course) you hang off the wall but it could be home-made or bought quite cheaply. For the boys room, you could use cutout material of planes and space rockets that are sewn onto a square meter felt blanket or sheeting. The girls room could have a similar one with stars and flowers (or whatever).
For shelving, consider drop down shelving that can be clicked up against the wall when not in use (if ever that would happen!) then could be used for displaying notes or picture the children have done at school or notes of upcoming events Perhaps not so good with very heavy objects like large books (depending on the type of wall and how it is affixed) but good for displaying toys and objects.
The toys could be placed into a treasure chest for the boys and probably the same thing for the girls but something more feminine. If room is a problem then those space saver drawers that slide under the bed are a great idea. I got one and it does do the job (not for toys but extra bed sheets).
