Any ideas for a vintage chic bedroom?
Q. I'm 14 and moving house soon. When I decorate my room, I want it really different and chic. I like 'vintage' style things, such as urban outfitter themed decor. I don't want a huge amount of pink. I like the idea of blues. I want one wall to be bright and the others plain. I like things clean cut and simple. Does anyone have any interesting colour themes that i could use or just any tips overall?
A. WOW.. i'm impressed! U'r 14 & u know what u what. Not too many do. So when u'r talking the "urban outfitter" I'm not quite sure where u'r heading. R u heading for the 50-60's look or what? As far as blues... for the 50-60 look u can go w/ blu/gr or gr/bl almost like turquoise. IF u WANT the pink, then put PINK tones as in pillows/frames/lamps things like that. I did my friend's 2 grls rooms but they wanted something brighter but I used mocha br along w/ pink & pinky/blu... it really came out kewl. The trends back then were 50's more pink/turquoise/black/white/red then moved into the turquoise/orange/browns/lime greens. I would love to help u if u want to e me. How can a bedroom look like an ice cream parlor?
Q. I want suggestions on an Ice Cream Parlor inspired bedroom.
A. You need a waffle cone pattern headboard - shaped like a cone with icecream - or just the waffle pattern. or a large vintage ice cream ad board.
Bedding in icecream colors. Lamps/floor mat shaped like ice cream cones. Find an antique ice cream maker for displaying. A cushy chair with ice cream pillows. Find a way to bring ice cream scoops into the decor. Also floats and milk shakes, ice cream sandwhiches....window coverings like bedding.

Check stores for kids kitchen/food toys that you could incorporate, paint them to take away the plastic look. You could attach them to photo frames and dresser knobs.

How can I make my bedroom a Scene kid bedroom?
Q. Well, I'm nowhere as beautiful as the scene girls and boys but i really do like their work :P
and im interested in the style they have, so i really want to know how i can contribute that beauty into my room. I have awhile to paint my room and do stuff to it, my deadline is spring(: so any helpful suggestions would be great. could you show me any pictures? art styles? paint color? something? those would be nice, thank you!

A. Look out for some really cool, vintage furniture pieces at charity stores or whatever, get some really classic, unusual curtains too, or you could make some out of fabric from a fabric store, pick out some that you like which could be black (black would make good curtains).
Get a load of posters of bands you like and stick them up on the walls, depends where you live, but AllPosters.co.uk has a large selection and their prices are quite fair, so you could take a look there.
As for paint, I'd say hot pink - or maybe you could wallpaper one wall - I saw this one scene girl's bedroom and she had hot pink and white striped wallpaper, which looked really cool.
Also, you should hang a load of your clothes off the front of your wardrobe, that can really improve a room. You could get a string of christmas tree lights too and string them up (they'll be cheap this time of year).

Q. I wanna decorate my bedroom at my lake house because it still had my kid stuff in it. What should i do to make it look hipster?
A. well i recommend putting pictures all over the walls and cut out paper and make letters out of it and put quotes on wall also, and like get vintage vinyls and have them laying around
