What is your favorite Walt Disney World Resort hotel and why?
Q. Doing lots of future web pages on the WDW hotels and need some personal opinions to add. Also, if you have a favorite nearby hotel (off WDW property), please share that, too!
A. We love all the deluxes for different reasons!
Favorite when we travel with the kids only: Polynesian Resort. Love the theming, love being on the monorail line, kids love the pool, love that it's easy to get around, love being able to walk to the TTC, love the Concierge level there.
Favorite for an anniversary/romantic trip: Grand Floridian. Beautiful resort, TONS of dining options, on the monorail, nice pools, adult feel, great shopping.
Favorite with my parents (in their 60s and 70s) along: Beach Club Fabulous pool, beautiful grounds, can walk to Epcot and MGM, love Beaches and Cream, lots to do and see on the Boardwalk
The one resort every member of my family can agree on all the time: Wilderness Lodge. It doesn't have the best transportation or dining, but there is just something relaxing about staying there, you don't feel like you are in Disney World. My kids love the big pool, we love the quiet pool.
Best room: Bay Lake Towers two bedroom villa . This place is HUGE, the layout is fantastic, there is a ton of closet space and three full bathrooms is awesome!
Most Unique: Animal Kingdom Lodge. There is nothing like seeing the animals right outside your room! If the transportation was a little better we would stay there more often
