What is good colour for my room?

Q. I have decided I might change my burgundy and beige coulored room into something mood lightening. Since a lot of time I have an non-enthusiastic mood and I would like something that provokes a happy and enthusiastic mood for home-work and art that I plan to do. I know someone who coulored their art room a vibrant green but it seems to me that would kind of eye-straining. Also it would be great for people to provide other tips on achieving a more enthusiastic mood because I DO CHOOSE BEST ANSWER

A. I like a very light shade of aqua for a bedroom. It's calming but still cheerful. Here are some that might give you some ideas:

I especially love this shade of blue with violet or light purple.
Find bedding that works first and then choose the shade based on it:

Need tips on entertaining in a small house!?
Q. We are doing the Family Christmas Eve get together in a smaller house and this is a BIG family (30-40 people could show up) The Dining/Living room is an open area about 12x24 feet. The Kitchen is a very small galley style- no room for a table. How can we arrange food, tables and chairs efficiently?
Forgot to add - cannot be outside as we are up north and it will be cold.

A. my house is small too, so i know what youre going thru! first off, we feed the kids first, then they all go off to the bedroom to watch christmas videos or play games. i just throw a big quilt over the bed and cover it with big throw cushions and body pillows. the kids like it. then we set up a long trestle table (about 14 feet long) down the center of the living/dining room--the dimensions are about the same as your place. the table is made of plywood and sawhorses, but covered in a nice tablecloth so no one notices. the table is about 2 1/2 feet wide by 14 feet long. all the food is in the kitchen on the counters and is self-serve. we keep the tree and all the presents in the basement cuz there just isnt room upstairs. the meal could be served in 2 sittings. last year some of us went for a drive to see the festival of lights while the others stayed home and ate. some took the kids out toboganning and caroling or to candlelight service at church. so we werent always all there at the same time--you gotta make some plans for activities! i borrowed about 25 stacking chairs from the church and kept these around the table. i moved my desk and dining table down to the basement. clear all the unneccessary clutter off of your kitchen counters so it can be used as the buffet. we also borrowed a large coffee urn from a neighbor. it can really turn out well if you do a little planning in advance, and you gotta really be organized and have a good plan in effect to get rid of the clutter before it takes over. we cant spend much time outside here--too cold. but we do have a large verandah and i kept everyones coats, boots, mitts etc. in there on an old sofa cuz the closets just cant handle it all!

What is the scariest experience you've ever had?
Q. Real life experiences are so much more interesting than made up ones at the movies. Tell me your stories?

A. i myself have had a frightning experiance. well quite a few times. i believe that when we die our spirits live on, until they want to come back to learn new lessons, we choose or family, and who we are, but over time we forget who we are.
spirits usually do not cause anyone fear, they usually are protecting you if you feel a presence.

But occasionally spirits are not always 'freindly' just like us humans, some are not nice people and have been horrid people whilst alive.
They can try and scare you and make you leave where you are, as they may believe its there home still etc.

I myself have thought i've seen and heard things.
My partner was asleep and so were the kids. we were living in temp housing. I was watching a film it was about 01:30am. when my sons door flew open, (i lived in a flat) and i heard him running down the hall, and then banging on my bedroom door, i shouted him, thinking he'd had a nightmare. but he was ignoring me banging loud.
So i jumped up and as soon as i stood up and walked like 2 steps to the hall it stopped, i looked out and he was not there.
And his bedroom door was shut tight.
i checked the bathroon, and felt well freaked out! i would of seen his door shutting or heard it!
then he screamed, i ran to his bedroom he was shaking, told me someone had woke him up by shaking his bed, and pulling his cover off him.
his quilt was on the other side of the room, on the chair.
I really do not know what happend that nite, but it freaked me and my son out.
luckily we moved a few weeks later.
