Bedroom Help please?

Hello, my bedroom is hideous. I have old scratched wood floors, white scratched up walls, and lavender particle board furniture, that's bulky and covered in butterflies (I'm 14) I have a small room. 10x8 feet. The door is facing the window, which is on the front yard wall. It's in the left corner. My closet door is on the wall to the left of that wall, closer to the window with a foot of space between it and the next wall. My window is in the dead center of the front yard wall. I was wondering if anyone could suggest good ways to arrange, organize, decorate, and live in, my tiny bedroom? I like cerulean and black. I would love any suggestions! Also as an inventory on furniture I have a 24" tv on a 26" short grey kids table. I have a twin bed, the head board of which I will certainly take dow, a 5 drawer tall dresser and a six drawer dresser thats long with a huge mirror (Thinking of removing it.) I have a desk with a built in top shelf, and a small night stand. I also have a full body wall mirror, that I need to hang. Again any suggestions are more than welcome!

DECORATION:
Well what ive always thought of doing was like;
Brown walls, with a light wood floor,
pink and blue lanterns for the ceiling.
Any kind of bed would work then, paint all your furniture white

ORGANIZE:
put your bed in the corner sort of slanted,
hang some beads around your room to give it a little pizazz,
get some nice wall stickers, maybe at your local mall,
yeah remove that long six drawer dresser.
put your dresser along a wall and put your tv and tv stand on the opposite wall of your bed. and you should hang the full body mirror on on of your doors. like on the back of one of them. And you should maybe get some storage things that you can stack or slide under your bed.

LIVE:
Put some bean bag chairs in front of your tv, to make your room a bit more teenish. Then if you have a sleepover, sleep in the living room! more space right?

Decoration/Paint Ideas Please!!?

I'm moving into my first apartment (yay!) and I need some advice...I have a lot of pictures that I don't want to tape to my wall like a seventeen-year-old girl would...but how can I put them up without being cluttered or tacky? Also, I have no idea what to do for paint...I don't want blue, pink, or red...

I'm twenty and am ready for a big kid look for my room! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

If they're actual photographs, then buy a set of frames at your craft store or target, walmart, kohls, etc. and just hang them up on the wall. Something that looks really polished is having black and white pictures in a black frame, they really can make a room look very nice.

If these are pictures you cut out from a magazine, then make a collage of them and frame them in a 9 x 13 (or larger!) frame. Hang it above your bed or somewhere in your room.

For paint ideas I suggest light and neutral. You can always do two tones too. For example a light beige color could go on all of you're living area walls-- except one. Using your paint sample, select the next color up (or darker) and paint it on the center, farthest wall. This can add depth to a room. Make sure your ceilings are painted white also. Adding a paint border around the top of a room can also make it feel bigger. Use a lighter shade on the border, and the darker shade on the rest of the wall.

Beige isn't the only color you're limited too. Light purples can look very classy when off set with the right furniture and accessories. Example-- black accessories look really nice with a light purple room! In you're bedroom though, I would suggest either white furniture or wood, save the black for you're living area. Don't do ALL black of course, like a black couch is not good. But frames, coffee tables, etc, is good. A light, neutral green, almost tannish, looks nice in most kitchens. (Unless you happen to have blue counter tops or something like that)

Finally, a grayish blue is a color I really like. It looks great in any room and is easy to coordinate with other colors.

28 year old girl here--I need help decorating my bedroom!?

I would suggest using girly floating shelves to show case your dolls this way your dolls well serve as decorations for your room as well show off your collection... Also try those box shelves those are very cute come in different colors....I would suggest to paint the walls pink and use other accents color....also as far as the canopy ...just go simple get the canopy that you can just hang over your bed on a hook its really pretty and girly...try the kids bedding dept at Target ....good luck

Why can't so many parents control their kids in other's houses?

My dreadful sister in law lives at the other end of Toronto (a dodgy end) and she has always hated me and my wife, every time she comes over she argues about our wealth or our decoration or our dislike of children, our social awkwardness with other people, our eccentric behaviour or nerdiness, she is a total nightmare, she comes over as if she is just a loving sister visiting but starts nonsense straight away.

Today she brought her 4 year old son (she has three children, I dislike them all) and our house is not a place for children, the decoration and furniture was expensive, our gaming systems and computers are fragile and expensive and we have collectable knives on display.

This kid played absolute havoc, I remember when I was a child my parents always made me sit next to them, quietly when we visited someone's house but this women just let her kid run riot, he helped himself to chocolate, he walked around knocking things over, he got chocolate all over our sofa and carpet, he broke our Nintendo wii, he absolutely tormented our cats, when they hid under a table and he could not get to them he started screaming, he then knocked over our stereo and was in general a complete brat.

My wife in the end snapped and told her sister to make her child behave or leave and her sister went mad, she yelled about how horrible it was that my sister was persecuting her son, I came in and said "he sort of needs persecuting" and then she yelled about how we could never understand the right way to treat children and how we would never be good parents and its a good thing my wife is infertile, she cried about how she was a good mother and we were morally wrong for not designing our home to cater children and we should be ashamed of ourselves for living so selfishly and being so rich and not helping anyone with our money and living in a big condo and being arrogant etc etc, she wal yelling at us for about 10 minutes.

In the end I just got fed up and said "are you done because we have a dvd to watch and we would prefer you not be here" and then my wife opened the door and they stormed out.

We spent an hour cleaning up after that brat and our cats were terrified, they would not come out of hiding for another hour and I have had to spend $300 replacing what the kid broke.

Do you not agree with me that if visiting someone's home the children should be made to behave, I mean so many just let theirs run riot and I think it is wrong, why do so many parents think this is okay?
I agree kids should be kids, but there is a difference between being a kid and being a destructive little moron and I hate it when they pick up cats and don't let go.

She always shows up uninvited, she knows she is not welcome but my wife knows that if we refuse entry she will make our lives hell.

Kids should be kids, also means its the optimum time for them to learn things house rules and manners. Only idiots think it means they only run around like fools. Even animals teach their young.

I had someone make a sideways comment that my home wasn't child proof. I told them their child didn't live here and that ours don't require that level of coddling. This same persons home looks like a tornado hit. I can't live like that. Our kids aren't banned from any rooms at home and know that "indoors" isn't for running, tumbling and roughhousing; they only eat in the kitchen and dining room; we have an 18month old and even she knows were to find her toys in our great room and to put them away when she is done and the same in her bedroom and in the playroom. And they know how to act at someones house, and I hang on to our 18month old. And if its someone who is particular, they usually ask to stay outside...lol I have a friend who is offended by that.

It all starts at home.

Redo my bedroom for cheap?

Well Im a 14 year old girl and im tired of my old little kid room. But Im with my single mom and the economy is so bad right now I feel really bad asking for so much money to redo my room. I would need to paint, get a whole bew bed frame(I still have a bunkbed),matress,bed sheets,plus all of the other accessories to match. Are there any cheap ways of doing this while it still looks good? And also any cute ideas?

Well for starters single moms rock..

the nest thing no matter where you are sign up for freecycle.org.. and get the cool things you want for free.. you just need to pick them up..

Paint is pretty cheap but spend the most on that alone.. get behr washable...

Next it's summer hit every tag sale, thrift shop, salvation army you can find.. also go to church donation centers with no shame and see what they have for free... I have for kids I do it all the time and spend the money on the things like sneakers they love and have to have..lol

Idk you but I would go shabby chic....it's so easy ... invest in two cans of white spray paint one rod iron white and one flat white.. pick up a free rod iron fence piece or another piece of cool metal framing... spray paint it rod iron white and hang it behing your bed..

Then get some flat white curtains.. fyi sheets can be hung as curtains they have a pocket sewn for a rod.. you can get two flat sheets from a cheap chain store for 10 bucks.. then get some frilly ribbon and use it to tie them off to the side ..

then find a chair a cool wood one on the side of the road.. even a kitchen chair.. spray that flat white.. if you are thrifty try going to doityourself and give it a light sandpaper rub to make it look old... then.. for your bedding start collecting white peices of all kinds.. pillows sheets shams.. etc..

then start collecting white things.. white framed mirrors and pics.. you can use your spray paint for the wood or metal frames..

collect frames pop out the glass ...wrap the back in fabric put the frame back one (buy eye hooks or hooks for a buck) and screw in and hang .. then display necklaces, braclets and things..

recycle glass jars of all shapes and sizes and fill with your pretty collections.. beads, art supplies, makeup ..

find some cool drift wood and place it in your room hang a pice above a mirror .. or buy a beveled unframed mirror and frame it with the wood..

take sand and sea shells and put in a clear class with a candle on it...

start a collection of heart shape rocks...

paint and stencil a cork board and put lots of memories on it...

fresh picked flowers everywhere.. I even pick branch stick that are cool and put em in tall clear glass ...

walmart decoration or craft section has all kinds of glass for super cheap..

p/u baskets that are woven for loose papers.. magazines.. books...etc..

You can make a cool bed frame and shelves out of concrete blocks.. but i recommend keeping your bunk bed.. putting two flat sheets under the top mattresson on each side... put the mattress back on the top line with christmas lights.. tie each side like a curtain to the bottom bed post with the same ribbon for your curtains... throw lots of pillows in there.. and hang a free floating shelf or a milk crate from the bottom and put books and mags in there and a clip board for homework...it'll be your own lil relax place..

invest in tupperware that fit under your bed for all your kid things you wanna keep...

you can use the drift wood or birch branches to make curtain rods...

last but not least your mom is awesome.. I am positive.. so ask her for some ideas as much as you wanna tell her they are stupid (I have a 12 year old) just listen.. and ask her what she has she doesn't need..

my daughter is turning 2. she got a new toddler bed (espresso colored wood), tinker bell bedding, a tinker bell chair, the little tinker bell couch. so the crib and all the baby toys and decor are going. she's almost at the age where i'm going to introduce letters, numbers, shapes, etc. would buying stuff like alphabet borders, number posters, education stuff be beneficial or should i just let it be her play room? if it doesnt make a difference then i wont bother, but if it does help i think i will include education in the design.

I found the educational decorations in the room were beneficial for my kids. However if I didn't have them it wouldn't of made much of a difference. I think the decorations more/less helped re-enforce what I had already taught them. It became part of their daily routine when we walked through their room. I guess it made it easy as I didn't actually have to sit down and do it. I could teach them as I was going to get their clothes out of their closet or making their beds.

Here are some things that I have done with my kids for letters, numbers shapes:
1. Painted them on their bedroom walls (like a border around their rooms).
2. Wooden letters/numbers/shapes painted and placed around the room (you can buy them cheap at craft stores/dollar stores and sometimes they come painted)
3. Wall Stickers - they do not stick to your walls with an adhesive but with more of a static. They come in all colors, letters, numbers, and shapes. When your kids are done with them you can take them down
4. Chalk Board Paint - You can paint a chalk board on your child's wall or door and draw them on yourself. The fun thing is that this can grow with them as they get older and they can gradually use it for other purposes.
5. Chalk Board - you can buy these fairly cheap at most office stores hang them in the child's bedroom. The nice thing about chalk is it comes off the walls nicely

These are some things that I have done in my kids bedrooms. My personal favorites have been the chalk board, chalk board paint and the static cling wall stickers. The wall stickers were easy to take down or move if you change the room around. The chalkboard was not just fun for letters but for the kids to play with as well. =)

Spring is almost here...what type of steps do you take to create a more spring atmosphere/ summer feel in your home?

For example: Putting out some bunnies, changing your wreath/doormat, your center piece in the living room? Tell me some tips! Thanks! I'm 26, I'm sure I have lots to learn still. :-)

I love decorating my house for every season, I always did it since my boys were little kids. Now they are 21 and 23 and they get home asking when the new decoration will be on. I decorate the whole house during christmas. I even change the pictures hanging on the walls. I put up 3 to 5 xmas trees in different rooms. The traditional one goes in the living room, the informal one goes in the family room. A small one goes on the kitchen counter with cookie cutters hanging from the branches. In the entrance a mid size one uses also traditional decorations and when my kids were small I put a mid size one in every room with decorations they made. I even decorate the bedrooms and the bathrooms.
For valentines I decorate the entrance door with a wreath in a form of a heart full of silk flowers. I change the tablecloth on the dining table to a red one with hearts and I set the table with hearts decorations,since we usually celebrate Valentine's dinner at home. I put red and white candles everywhere, all the small round table are decorated with red or red and white tablecloths. Even the kitchen towels and the apron is changed for every season.
For Easter, I change the wreath to an appropiate one, the tablecloths around the house. I put bunnies and special dessert plates to decorate and I change the decorations on the piano and other tables.\
I also change it for summer, then for the "Back to School" season, (I am a teacher) and for Halloween and Thanksgiving. I change towels, aprons, kitchen towels, everything I can it helps me get in the mood. I have collected all the decorations during the years and in discount stores usually off season. I put them away in plastic boxes that are identified with the season.
Try it, it will please you so much you will keep on doing it and adding new things every year.

In my bedroom I stick with a sage green color and off white (the lightest beige color). Because you probably don't want to go through the trouble of repainting the walls, I would hang up paintings in similar colors using those plastic hooks that you can stick to the walls instead of nails. All of the stuff that I bought was from Target, cute but reasonable price. As for the living room I went with dark red drapes and white see through panels with decorations of red roses on them. Those panels were purchased at Ikea in the kids department so they were less expensive! Any accents in the room were black, like the drapery rod for example. Wrought iron look. A nice plain bookshelf also purchased from Ikea with all my books, photos in frames, candles, etc. on the shelves. A dark red runner on the coffee table. A plain white sofa with a colored throw... there are so many possiblilites! Color is the trick when everything else is plain. Ikea and Target are the best places to find cute stuff. Good luck!

I know it has to be different going from 2 to 1, but that's where you get the freedom to express yourself without considering anyone else. This will help with choosing a paint color for your room (if you decide to do so), and we know paint sets good tones. I am a BIG FAN of the accent wall (which is painting one wall in the bedroom one BOLD color, allowing the others to remain white). Or going with a nice neutral tone throughout the room works just as well.

After you've figured all that out you can begin to have fun with the rest!!!
1. Choose a bedding that helps amplify the atmosphere of your room. Whichever works best for you!!!
2. If you choose to do an accent wall, I'd find a nice piece of art to hang over my headboard. That will create a focal point in the room. Even if not, I'd still accent a wall with nice and understated wall art to give the space decor.
3. Track lighting is a nice decor idea to add a little serenity to your space. It's something to consider, but not a must have.

I was thinking maybe cute friendship rings I found that we had when we were kids. Flowers, are a possibility but I can only spend so much on a number of people. Any easy homemade gifts that don't look cheap and or a squalor. Thank you!!

here is what I would do. Go to the craft store and find somethings to paint OR make bubbles to hang which is fun. You need ballons (round ones), colorful yarn, glue.

You Blow up the ballon to whatever size you want
Put all the glue in the bowl.
Take the yard and put some in a bowl without tangling it. Normally I take the ball and put in on one side of the bowl and drag the yarn through the bowl as I use it. The yarn needs to be totally soaked with glue

With the glue wet yarn wrap it around the ballon in a diiferent directions. So you can still see the balloon and don't use all the yarn. There should be space where you can see in and there doesnt have to be a pattern unless you want one.

Wait for it to dry.

Pop the balloon and carefully pick the pieces off. At the top put sting to hang it.

Now you can see inside the ball you have made. Inside you can put a picture. Get pink grass and put valentine candy in it. Stuff a small beanie baby in there OR real/silk flowers and make an arangement on the inside

It can hang from anywhere and can be used as a decoration in a childs room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom. etc

I have seen this same project only people use clear spray paint instead of glue and spray in on the yard and balloon.

Do you change your home decor every season?

Spring is almost here...what type of steps do you take to create a more spring atmosphere/ summer feel in your home?

For example: Putting out some bunnies, changing your wreath/doormat, your center piece in the living room? Tell me some tips! Thanks! I'm 26, I'm sure I have lots to learn still. :-)

I love decorating my house for every season, I always did it since my boys were little kids. Now they are 21 and 23 and they get home asking when the new decoration will be on. I decorate the whole house during christmas. I even change the pictures hanging on the walls. I put up 3 to 5 xmas trees in different rooms. The traditional one goes in the living room, the informal one goes in the family room. A small one goes on the kitchen counter with cookie cutters hanging from the branches. In the entrance a mid size one uses also traditional decorations and when my kids were small I put a mid size one in every room with decorations they made. I even decorate the bedrooms and the bathrooms.
For valentines I decorate the entrance door with a wreath in a form of a heart full of silk flowers. I change the tablecloth on the dining table to a red one with hearts and I set the table with hearts decorations,since we usually celebrate Valentine's dinner at home. I put red and white candles everywhere, all the small round table are decorated with red or red and white tablecloths. Even the kitchen towels and the apron is changed for every season.
For Easter, I change the wreath to an appropiate one, the tablecloths around the house. I put bunnies and special dessert plates to decorate and I change the decorations on the piano and other tables.\
I also change it for summer, then for the "Back to School" season, (I am a teacher) and for Halloween and Thanksgiving. I change towels, aprons, kitchen towels, everything I can it helps me get in the mood. I have collected all the decorations during the years and in discount stores usually off season. I put them away in plastic boxes that are identified with the season.
Try it, it will please you so much you will keep on doing it and adding new things every year.

My mother and father were still married and all of us kids still lived at home with the exception of my oldest brother Danny. It was getting close to Christmas when my mother informed us that my father lost his job and although she was still working she could not afford to pay all the bills and buy food and buy us presents. We were use to being poor but never before did we not have presents. We didnât have enough to buy a tree to decorate we sat there trying to make the best of the situation. I do not remember whoâs Idea it was but we started to hang clothes hangers on the wall in the shape of a pyramid, which also looked something like the shape of a Christmas tree. We threw on decorations from some past Christmases; to hide the hangers we even hung lights on the hanger tree and plugged it in. Ok so now we had a tree now we needed to figure out what we were going to do about gifts.
My grandmother Hattie came over and told us that a lot of people were doing without Christmas and even her and grandpa could not afford to buy us a gift. Oh no I thought itâs true no presents what a sad year. But before you let the tears flow on this sad tale let me tell you that this was the best Christmas I ever had and the only one I can remember in such good detail. Not so much because it was the only year that we did not get presents but because this was the year I truly found out what Christmas really was. You see it is true we did not have any gifts but we took on a mental Christmas that was fun. We wrapped an empty box. The type of box that had a removable lid. We wrapped the lid separately placed a bow on it and replaced the lid and placed it under the tree. Our mother was wondering if her kids finally lost their minds but never said a word.
Christmas morning we all got up and sat around the hanger tree and sang Christmas songs. When we were done. My sister Mary grabbed the box and with a huge smile she said to each of us what she wish she could give each one of us. After each gift she wished she open the pretty box and we all look and smile and say things like oh man thatâs cool what did I get? What did I get? When Mary finished her wish presents to everyone she was turned around and seen mother smiling and tears streaming down her face. She said mom I got you something too want to see. My mother speechless smiled and came and sat down and said sure baby what did you get me. Mary said Oh I got you something great I got you this new coat made with mink fur and she opened the box and my mother said oh my you shouldnât have it is so beautiful and she reached in the box and acted like she took it out and rubbed it on her face and said this is so great it is so soft thank you. Mary then passed the box and in turn we gave the gift of thought because after all it is the thought that counts.
Oh yes this was a great Christmas after all we all got so many wonderful gifts.

Why can't so many parents control their kids in other's houses?

My dreadful sister in law lives at the other end of Toronto (a dodgy end) and she has always hated me and my wife, every time she comes over she argues about our wealth or our decoration or our dislike of children, our social awkwardness with other people, our eccentric behaviour or nerdiness, she is a total nightmare, she comes over as if she is just a loving sister visiting but starts nonsense straight away.

Today she brought her 4 year old son (she has three children, I dislike them all) and our house is not a place for children, the decoration and furniture was expensive, our gaming systems and computers are fragile and expensive and we have collectable knives on display.

This kid played absolute havoc, I remember when I was a child my parents always made me sit next to them, quietly when we visited someone's house but this women just let her kid run riot, he helped himself to chocolate, he walked around knocking things over, he got chocolate all over our sofa and carpet, he broke our Nintendo wii, he absolutely tormented our cats, when they hid under a table and he could not get to them he started screaming, he then knocked over our stereo and was in general a complete brat.

My wife in the end snapped and told her sister to make her child behave or leave and her sister went mad, she yelled about how horrible it was that my sister was persecuting her son, I came in and said "he sort of needs persecuting" and then she yelled about how we could never understand the right way to treat children and how we would never be good parents and its a good thing my wife is infertile, she cried about how she was a good mother and we were morally wrong for not designing our home to cater children and we should be ashamed of ourselves for living so selfishly and being so rich and not helping anyone with our money and living in a big condo and being arrogant etc etc, she wal yelling at us for about 10 minutes.

In the end I just got fed up and said "are you done because we have a dvd to watch and we would prefer you not be here" and then my wife opened the door and they stormed out.

We spent an hour cleaning up after that brat and our cats were terrified, they would not come out of hiding for another hour and I have had to spend $300 replacing what the kid broke.

Do you not agree with me that if visiting someone's home the children should be made to behave, I mean so many just let theirs run riot and I think it is wrong, why do so many parents think this is okay?
I agree kids should be kids, but there is a difference between being a kid and being a destructive little moron and I hate it when they pick up cats and don't let go.

She always shows up uninvited, she knows she is not welcome but my wife knows that if we refuse entry she will make our lives hell.

Kids should be kids, also means its the optimum time for them to learn things house rules and manners. Only idiots think it means they only run around like fools. Even animals teach their young.

I had someone make a sideways comment that my home wasn't child proof. I told them their child didn't live here and that ours don't require that level of coddling. This same persons home looks like a tornado hit. I can't live like that. Our kids aren't banned from any rooms at home and know that "indoors" isn't for running, tumbling and roughhousing; they only eat in the kitchen and dining room; we have an 18month old and even she knows were to find her toys in our great room and to put them away when she is done and the same in her bedroom and in the playroom. And they know how to act at someones house, and I hang on to our 18month old. And if its someone who is particular, they usually ask to stay outside...lol I have a friend who is offended by that.

It all starts at home.

redecorating toddlers bedroom, should i include education into the design?

my daughter is turning 2. she got a new toddler bed (espresso colored wood), tinker bell bedding, a tinker bell chair, the little tinker bell couch. so the crib and all the baby toys and decor are going. she's almost at the age where i'm going to introduce letters, numbers, shapes, etc. would buying stuff like alphabet borders, number posters, education stuff be beneficial or should i just let it be her play room? if it doesnt make a difference then i wont bother, but if it does help i think i will include education in the design.

I found the educational decorations in the room were beneficial for my kids. However if I didn't have them it wouldn't of made much of a difference. I think the decorations more/less helped re-enforce what I had already taught them. It became part of their daily routine when we walked through their room. I guess it made it easy as I didn't actually have to sit down and do it. I could teach them as I was going to get their clothes out of their closet or making their beds.

Here are some things that I have done with my kids for letters, numbers shapes:
1. Painted them on their bedroom walls (like a border around their rooms).
2. Wooden letters/numbers/shapes painted and placed around the room (you can buy them cheap at craft stores/dollar stores and sometimes they come painted)
3. Wall Stickers - they do not stick to your walls with an adhesive but with more of a static. They come in all colors, letters, numbers, and shapes. When your kids are done with them you can take them down
4. Chalk Board Paint - You can paint a chalk board on your child's wall or door and draw them on yourself. The fun thing is that this can grow with them as they get older and they can gradually use it for other purposes.
5. Chalk Board - you can buy these fairly cheap at most office stores hang them in the child's bedroom. The nice thing about chalk is it comes off the walls nicely

These are some things that I have done in my kids bedrooms. My personal favorites have been the chalk board, chalk board paint and the static cling wall stickers. The wall stickers were easy to take down or move if you change the room around. The chalkboard was not just fun for letters but for the kids to play with as well. =)

I love decorating my house for every season, I always did it since my boys were little kids. Now they are 21 and 23 and they get home asking when the new decoration will be on. I decorate the whole house during christmas. I even change the pictures hanging on the walls. I put up 3 to 5 xmas trees in different rooms. The traditional one goes in the living room, the informal one goes in the family room. A small one goes on the kitchen counter with cookie cutters hanging from the branches. In the entrance a mid size one uses also traditional decorations and when my kids were small I put a mid size one in every room with decorations they made. I even decorate the bedrooms and the bathrooms.
For valentines I decorate the entrance door with a wreath in a form of a heart full of silk flowers. I change the tablecloth on the dining table to a red one with hearts and I set the table with hearts decorations,since we usually celebrate Valentine's dinner at home. I put red and white candles everywhere, all the small round table are decorated with red or red and white tablecloths. Even the kitchen towels and the apron is changed for every season.
For Easter, I change the wreath to an appropiate one, the tablecloths around the house. I put bunnies and special dessert plates to decorate and I change the decorations on the piano and other tables.\
I also change it for summer, then for the "Back to School" season, (I am a teacher) and for Halloween and Thanksgiving. I change towels, aprons, kitchen towels, everything I can it helps me get in the mood. I have collected all the decorations during the years and in discount stores usually off season. I put them away in plastic boxes that are identified with the season.
Try it, it will please you so much you will keep on doing it and adding new things every year.
