Sharing a room? help.....?

Kiara

okay so our house is 2,899 square feet and four bedrooms. So my mom has her own room. My two brothers 11 & 9 share a room and my older sister (16) has her own room. So me 14 has to share a room with my three sisters, they are 12, 7 , & 6. It's an average size room but with four people with very different age ranges it gets crowded and difficult to decide a theme or how to decorate it. I really want my own room but until my oldest sister moves out I won't. It's hard having people over cause I have no privacy, they all just barge in. I can't get away and just go to my room when I need to. The younger sisters are Constantly getting into my makeup, lotion etc and breaking all my stuff it's really annoying me so then I get mad at them and then I get into trouble.
Does anyone else have to share a room with three people?
How do you divide a room like that?

Ideas to decorate a bedroom shared by son and daughter?

mommykins

I have a 11 year old boy and a 7 year old girl who share a bedroom. It's a mish mosh of Hannah Montana, High School musical, skate boarding and sports. I want to make it unisex some how. My daughter isn't so girly to the point where she want's only pink and purple, she's very open to other colors. But I don't want her stuck in a room that's so boyish and I don't want my son stuck in a room so girlish. Neither of them are in to anything cutesy or too young. I feel like the only thing I can do is the basic blue and yellow celestial stuff, BORING! I'm not good with colors outside of the normal neutrals. There room is very small also. Any ideas? I really want them to have a great room!

Do your children want their own privacy? If so, I would consider getting a divider that separates each one to their own privacy. This way it makes them feel like they have their own room. Then let them decorate with whatever they like. Another idea, if they don't want to be divided is to go with a theme of the beach. Kids love the beach. You could paint the walls part way down with a sand color and the other half a light blue. Then just do decor and accents of the beach. This would be lots of fun for them to do. Their room would be really nice and cheerful and this would be a neutral. Whatever you decide have fun doing it together. Good Luck!
