romantic going away ideas?
Q. My husband is going away on a business trip for two weeks and I wanted to give him something romantic or sexy either or doesn't matter as a little surprise while he is gone. Any ideas?? He is leaving tomorrow afternoon so please lots of ideas ASAP!!! Thanks all in advance.
Answer
Buy candles and have them set up in a room! Like your bedroom or you guys can relax in the bathtub together with candles lighting the area. :) & buy lingerie or something fancy for bed! New sexy bra and panties? Don't forget the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 game! ;) Just kidding.

Decorating ideas?

We are moving and don't want to repaint. The bedroom that my three year old will be taking is chocolate brown, a little on the dark side...amazingly she likes it! :) The other room, that my 18 mo. old will be taking, has two pink walls and two green walls, a little on the bright side. Obviously, the pink and green seems much easier to work with, but ideas are still welcome as I want both of their rooms to be nice for them.
Oh, and both kids are girls.

If you're willing to use any paint at all to help these rooms I recommend it.
For the chocolate room paint the trim pink (light pink) and put stripes or polka dots on the walls in light pink. If you don't want to do any painting at all, then I suggest using a lacey curtain of white or really light pink, having white or light pink framed mirrors on the walls, doing her bedding in light pink with chocolate brown accents (small ones) and keeping the floor light. One chocolate brown rug might be okay, though.
For the pink and green room, to lighten it up, and if you're willing to use any paint at all, I've seen my family get a lighter shade of the color that's on there and sponge it over the top of the other color. It doesn't have to be a stark difference, but light enough to see the contrast. It's amazing how much this helps. You could also get a wire brush and brush lines of the lighter colors in vertical lines down the walls to lighten it up. also plastic grocery bags work, rags, etc.
Then I'd use lots of white furnishings and decor in there. Maybe even stick flower appliques on the walls that you can peel off later if you want to. Do a light flowery curtain for the room.
Good luck:)
