DIY crafts for your room ?!?

rawrr

Looking for some easy, classic craft ideas to spice up my room. I don't want it to look very obvious that its home made, but something cute and unique. Im a teenager, so i won't like all those little kid flower crafts xD

- even some cool ideas to decorate my room would work!

Answer
well there are too many ways to come up with home decor things that you can make yourself.

get some cans, it can be any mushroon or frozen vegetable, clean and wrap it in a great looking wrapping paper and you can use it to keep your pens, pencils and any other things,

you can also use some large boxes like these and wrap them up or use cookie boxes that are already beautiful looking and use them to keep your cosmetics and clips or hair bands,

apart from that, you can get some nice moulds and make candles yourself as it is really easy to make them, just make sure you are big enough to handle fire and hot wax or do it with an elder present

you can knit varios small pices of colorful cloth together to come up with a nice looking multicolored table clothed to drape on your writing table or your room chair

hope you like these ideas

My box spring wouldn't fit- any ideas?

I moved yesterday, and couldn't fit the box spring around the corner up to my bedroom in my new apartment. my mattress fit, but only because the guys bent it nearly in half, and the box spring doesn't have that flexibility.

Other than reminding me the importantance of measuring- got any ideas so I don't look like a college kid with a mattress on the floor?

extra info: it's a double, and it doesn't have a headboard and footboard, though it does have a small metal frame for under the box spring to raise it on rolling wheels- there's no "inside" to the frame though.

Money is a little tight after the move so either a DIY or cheap solution would be preferred!!

Answer
Did they have a bed in that room when they showed you the house? I bet if you contacted your agent you could get an answer on how they fixed it.
Yup, a piece of plywood would save your springs for now. If need be, you can purchase a Euro-type bed. Check out Ikea.com for ideas. They don't use a boxframe, instead they use slats underneath the mattress. I don't know how comfortable it would be, but it sure beats sleeping on the floor! And I'm sure they come disassembled--you're probably the only one who can appriciate that! Lol, good luck!
