Decorating ideas?

I need help with some decorating ideas. We are moving into a new home. My son's room will be decorated in an Atlanta Braves/baseball theme. I need help with my daughter's room. She is 4 and likes My Little Pony. My daughter and son (18 months) will be sharing a bathroom (need ideas too). I also need ideas for their playroom. All walls are painted a light tan. The bedroom is about 12X13. The playroom is about 12X20. I don't know how big the bathroom is (not too big); has a bathtub/shower combo and double sinks. Thanks for your suggestions!

My personal opinion is that you should keep it fun and cute but easily changeable so as they grow it can grow with them. I recommend a lot of the IKEA stuff- great prices, even better quality! For your little girl, perhaps keeping the tan walls but adding some wallies (www.wallies.com) and then fun bedspread/accessories. As far as the bathroom, I've always liked Pottery Barn's accessories but you can get a much more cost-efficient selection at places like Kohls or even Meijer. Ask for your kids input, but let them choose a few "key" pieces rather then the whole scheme. Although your four year old loves My Little Pony right now, will she still love it in 4 years? How often do you want to re-do the room?
Most of all... just have fun! I love decorating. =)
Oh, another sure way to get the kids involved, regardless of their age... incorporate a lot of their art work. It gives them a sense of accomplishment, and it makes the room personal and unique. It also is amazing to look back on how far they have come years from now! (I'm a big fan of handprints... provided you can get them to hold still long enough to get some good ones!)
One last suggestion for the playroom- check out chalkboard paint (they have it at Lowes and Home Depot)- one wall in chalkboard paint, or even a section, can be lots of fun and endless play options as well! (Storefront, restaurant menus, teacher/school... )

I need help with decorating ideas for a shared bedroom. My three kids will share a small bedroom. Ideas?

They will be moving into a 10 x 10 bedroom. They are ages 6,8, and 10...all girls. We will be purchasing the Arts and Crafts "L" shaped loft bed from American Signature Furniture and will put one additional bed underneath. We will be moving into an older home...my kids call it a "cottage". We will be decorating in the Arts and Crafts style and their bed will be a dark stained wood color...like chocolate. Any ideas on decorating? The colors the kids came up with were white, black, and blue. I was thinking of painting one wall chalkboard black so they could have a place to draw. Any other great ideas?
I also thought about installing a semi circle rod above the closet door to create a changing space. The other furniture in the room will be one tall (currently white wicker but open to painting) Armour and dresser. We will use under the bed storage for my daughter who will have her bed under the loft. I know there are some great ideas out there...care to share thoughts on how to decorate? Looking for clean, crisp, childlike ideas...

Sounds like you have the great beginnings of a nice room already. I always like those cube things that hang from the ceiling to hold dolls, toys and clothes... I used stacked milk crates too. you can see what is in them and it is organized and stays secure stacked up...maybe stacked them "stair" style...then dolls or stuffed animals can sit on top of each crate. Hopefully the closet is generous, lots of shelves. hanging clothes takes too much room.
