I have 2 boys (ages 7 & 4) that share a fairly large bedroom. I want to paint it with some cool design that they'll like now and when they get older. Any suggestions would be great.

The best ideas I've found for boys bedrooms are http://boysthemebedrooms.com/. There are some great themes that you can do by purchasing or making the items shown. I also found this site (http://www.decorating-kids-rooms.net/bedroom-themes-for-children.html) which talks specifically about "How To Create Bedroom Themes For Children That Grow With Your Child".
Right now it seems to be that for your 4 and 7 year olds, a pirate theme would be fantastic. Maybe paint a wall mural of a beach and sunset on one wall. Then as they grow older they can add things to it - like kids playing sports on the beach, pirate treasure in the sand, or just enjoying the peaceful scene.
You know your kids and their interests - have a ball with them and let them decide. My daughter loves pirates and Egyptians. So I'm focusing on the treasure and tying the two interests together that way.

How many kids can you babysit without having a liscence?
Tired-Mom
I am wanting to babysit so I can be home with my two kids and be able to pay some bills.
Someone told me that you can have up to 5 kids without having a liscence. Is that true??? How many can you have with a liscence????
I don't have a room that could be designated for the kids so I wouldn't be able to have a Child Day care at my house. I know they make you have one room set aside just for the kids.
Any opinions would be great thanks.

Each state is different and you can find out the rules for your state at http://nrc.uchsc.edu/STATES/states.htm
This site lists the statutes and a contact but I think the easiest way would be to just call the licensing contact the site provides and ask them your specific questions. Most licensing divisions hold frequent orientation meetings for people looking for more information about getting licensed. To give you an idea though, in my state you can care for any amount of kids you want without a license for 30 days or less out of the year (this covers most casual babysitters). If you plan on running a full time daycare you can care for any amount of kids for one family other than your own. If you want to care for kids from multiple families then you need a license. You can get licensed for a max of 3 to 12 kids depending on ages and how much space you have. For example I could watch 3 babies or 12 school age kids if I had enough space. You don't need a specific room just for the kids. When they come to do the home visit and calculate the square footage they include any space that the kids would use. For example they include your kitchen, bathroom, family room, any bedrooms where you would put the kids to nap, etc. They would not count your storage room or attic or the master bedroom (unless you planned on napping people in there too) or any other areas that the children wouldn't use. So research your state and good luck!
