what can I do to divide my kids room, I have a 4 year old boy and 2 year old girl, any ideas?

I'm moving and can only afford a two bedroom apartment right now but my kids are a boy and a girl. I've been told they can share a room til one of them turns five, my son will be five in November. I want to put a divider the room is big enough but they like to climb on things and pull things down so anyone have any ideas on what to do?

One idea I saw that might word is bamboo shades. Hang them side by side in the middle of the room, they can be rolled down to divide the room. OR you could put book cases in the middle of the room one facing her side and one facing his.

A lot of people have this problem. I work at an Interior Design company, and kid's rooms are something we design a lot. The trick with designing a shared room is that you want each kid's space to be equal, and just as fun. You can separate each of their spaces by adding some sort of room divider. A low two-sided bookcase that can hold their toys, a curtain, anything really. Also, pick two colors that go well together, like baby blue and pale green. Paint an accent wall behind the baby's crib blue, and behind your daughter's bed green. Then for her side, you can work with a pale green, pink, and purple color scheme for her, and blues for him. Or a popular color scheme is baby blue and chocolate brown, and pale green and chocolate brown because it really looks classy but still can look great in a child's room. You can get really creative with the colors you choose, just make sure they accent each other. When your son gets older, each kid is going to want their own unique space, and it's important to give them it. Make sure they each have their own spaces for the stuff they need.
Also, another idea I just thought of is wall murals, these can be great because they can fit both of your kids if you pick something they'll both like, or you can do something different for each kid's side of the room. Wall decals are good too because they can easily be removed and swapped with new ones when they get older, or moved around the room when you re-decorate.
