How to decorate a shared bedroom?
knobby
Ok so I'm a 14 year old girl sharing a REALLY small bedroom with my 8 year old brother.Recently we were forced to moved out due to family problems. The only place my parents could afford at the moment is this extremely small.. 2 bedroom aparment. My old room was bigger then the master bedroom here. And now me and my brother have to share this really REALLY small room.
Basically what I'm asking is a way to rearange the furniture in our room and to organize and what colors to paint the walls and things like that. I want to make it look nice and presentable. The room is very oddly shapped and my bed frame and wood and color is different from his. Everything is mix and matched and placed in odd places in the room. We both have twin sized beds and we each have one night stand and i have a desk. I appriciate if you answer with a lot of detail. Thanks :)
Here I will just explain ( try to) how our furniture at the moment is placed if that will help.
Ok so you walk in and the first thing you see is my brothers bed against the wall vertically. On the right side of the door/ wall is a sliding door closet, the closet is the whole wall ( the people with aparments, hopefully you understand or have an idea or image of what I'm talking about) and Three feet in front of the closet is my bed. So when you walk in his is virtical and mine is horizontal and they kinda make a 'L shape' ( if that makes any sense.) Next to my bed is my night stand and on the same wall my head board is against is a window and theirs another one close to it on the wall my brothers headboard is against and under that window is my desk....... Ok I get that probably didn't make any sense.. Maybe it did idk.
If you didn't get that.... Then I'm sorry ._.
Answer
The L-shaped beds sound just fine.
You can decorate any way you like.Your style doesn't have to be like your brother's.
Or you could do a little mix and match.
Each of you pick a color for this bedding.Or you can both pick the same color but use different sheets.http://www.garnethill.com/elementary-comforter-26-sham/bedding-bath/kids-bedding/view-all-kids-bedding/306936?defattrib=&defattribvalue=&listIndex=2
You may not be able to paint but that gray sure looks nice. You can add a memo board to your side and even have some inexpensive paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling.http://www.lunabazaar.com/paper-lanterns.aspx?gclid=COT6m57_ubgCFZCe4AodFxcAvg
Don't give your parents any grief. They most likely didn't want to move either. This economy is difficult for all of us and we need to make changes to accommodate this.
Enjoy your room.

How can I hide alcohol from my parents?
Polly
My bedrooms not great for that kind of stuff, as my mum is always clearing it up, but i was wondering if online there was somwhere i could buy something with a fake bottem or something which is big enough to store like two 1L bottles? Also if there are any ideas of where to hide it, it would be much appreciated x
I'm thinking like long term over the summer holidays for parties and stuff
Answer
When i was a kid I would put my alcohol in small water bottles or any type of small bottle. Then I would pull my bottom drawer out and put the bottles inside and then put the drawer back in.
I also hid alcohol bottles inside my radio speakers.
Another good spot would be inside your computer if you have a desk top computer. If you take the side cover off there is a lot of empty space.
