Hi(:
Im a teen girl and im redecorating my room. I need some ideas on what color i can paint my room.
I like pastel colors!
i also like neons, just nothing dark
Right now my room is green, so i would like to stay away from the greens for awhile.

When I was about 15, I painted my room this color, "Sunset Yellow" and it was like a lighter version of dijon mustard. It turned out so beautiful. I decorated the rest of my room to have a very light, tuscan feel. But, if I changed my mind (as I often did) and decided I wanted something different, the yellow would match. I miss that room. It was the coolest color I've ever had in a room. Also, a robin's egg blue is cool, but it's very touchy getting just the right tone. And green is VERY touchy. The room color I'm looking forward to, though, is blood red. It's bold, daring, adventurous, the decor options are endless, and it can be lighthearted with a bold front, or deep and dark, with blacks and metals. Anyways, these are my four cents. : ) Have fun. Paint is great!
Edit: Oh, by the way!!! Something I've wanted to do for awhile in my kids' rooms is this: paint top half color of choice (for them a burnt orange), and bottom half (kind of spendy, but) black chalkboard paint. Then you draw whatever you like on the chalkboard as you like, or leave it blank. . . I think it's a great fun idea.

i need some ideas on how to make a chalk board with concrete?
Agdi92Q1
it needs to be big, 5'x3' but concrete is heavy and with that surface area it would have to be pretty thick to be structurally sound. I was thinking I could make a frame for it out of 2 by 4s and a nail cardboard to the back, and then maybe use some pvc pipe or tin sheets to have in the concrete to reinforce some support? Does anyone have any better ideas that are less scetchy? Also, i need help on how to mount it on a normal wall in a house without destroying the wall. (It's for a kid's bedroom)
Answer
The concrete is a really bad idea. It's heavy, it's incredibly porous (so it will soak up the chalkboard paint like crazy & cost you a ton of money to paint needing a dozen coats at least), & it's rough (so hard to write on).
Why do you want to use concrete?
You can literally use nearly anything else, including painting chalkboard paint directly on the wall.
You can paint a bookshelf or a piece of furniture, you can paint a closet door or the back of the bedroom door. You could paint particle board which is really light & can easily be hung. You can get a giant picture frame & paint the backer-board & hang that on the wall.
They also make removeable chalkboard squares that can be "stuck" to the wall. They're sticky, but also remove easily. They even make chalkboard fabric that you can hang.
It's an awesome world full of possibilities and concrete is not a good plan if you can avoid it. It's hard to work with!
