What is a good decor & bedding theme for boy and a girl that share a room?

Q. We are moving which means our kids will no longer have their own rooms. My 6 yr old daughter and 2 yr old son will have to share a room. Any good ideas for a theme rm that they will both like?

Child bedroom decorating ideas needed?
Q. Hi there. Our 3 youngest children are going to share a huge bedroom. Ages 5, 3, and 2. The 2 oldest will be getting new beds, and the youngest a toddler bed. We need to paint and put in a new floor etc. I am wondering what colors, decorating ideas you all have for a boy/girl bedroom. Thanks! I am excited!

What party ideas do you suggest if my 6year olds outside B-day party turns into a rainy day?
Q. I have plans for my 6year old girl to have her party outside with a Big Jumper next weekend. There will be about 4 to 5 girls including 1 boy. I just looked at the forcast and it is soposed to rain :( I am hoping it doesn't.....I need some last min. ideas for indoor games and activities if we end up having it inside!! Thanks a bunch!!

A. the best parties my two daughters have had and have been to have been ones that just kinda happened and weren't structured. the kids just ran through the house and played in the bedroom. they spent a couple hours laughing and playing. we had cake and ice cream, did the opening presents thing, but other than that, anything structured, they just kind of looked at and asked 'do we have to do that? we want to go play!' this has been with both all girl parties and boy/girl parties.

Any ideas for 2 girls and boy sharing 1 bedroom?
Q. We have a 4 year old girl, 2 year old boy and 11 month old girl. Pictures would be great to get some ideas!

A. Crib for the 11 month old, bunk beds for the 4 and 2 year old. 2 year old gets the bottom bed. Paint the room a gender neutral color, like yellow or a creme color. One side is for the girls to keep their things and the other is for the boy. Get separate trunks for their toys and let them help decorate too. Separate closets if available, if not, divide it equally, one side for each. Make sure there are no heavy items that can fall on the children. Bolt them down if necessary. Install child safety locks on drawers and doors if necessary. Kids are curious and will inevitably get into trouble at some point. Good luck.
