How much would it be to hire a maid bi monthly for a one bedroom apartment for general cleaning?

Q. In east Tennessee, one bedroom apartment. General pick up, vaccuming, kitchen/dishes, bathroom, bedroom etc
also if you know any websites for me to check out please post those too
I'm a mother trying to go to school and work and take care of my toddler. I need a break! or at least some help

A. You don't need a maid, just organise your time better.
Pick up and put away after using things.
Hang clothes up or put into laundry basket when you take them off.
Bath kid with bubble bath, he will enjoy it and it cuts down on soiled baths. Get in the bath with him.
Clean shower while showering.
Wipe vanity and basin out after cleaning teeth in the morning.
Take clothes out of dryer as soon as the cycle ends and fold them. Cuts back on Ironing.
When cooking make enough for 2-3 meals and freeze the extra. Dinner just needs heating on the extra busy days.
Do dishes once/day. Rinse and stack but make sure they are washed and put away before going to bed.
Ditto with the living area. Only takes a couple of minutes.
Put a load of washing on before leaving for the day, or while doing other tasks/study.

There are lots of "windows of time" in 24 hrs if you look for them. Use them to at least start a cleaning job even if you are unable to finish. You will be surprised at how much you can achieve.

Hope I have given you some ideas and saved you some money.

Where can i find teen bedroom accessories?
Q. Good websites to find comforters, night stands, dressers, desks, vanity, lounge chairs, throw pillows, blankets, rungs, lamps, string lights, wall decorations, storage, picture frames, mirrors, decorative cork boards and magnetic dry erase boards, desk accessories? I want to do a zebra and hot pink theme and Im trying to find accessories to match.. Please help! I've already looked at PBteen.com and wakeupfrankie.com, but they're a little pricey... Any othe websites?

A. I'm assuming you've already bought bedding, if not, maybe something like this:

http://www.beyond-bedding.com/hot-pink-zebra-print-full-queen-teens-kids-bedding-set.html

For furniture, try ikea.com - it will be inexpensive and you'll be able to get the night stands, dressers, and desks there. I'd go with either white or black furniture to complement the bedding.
You can also try walmart and target if you are concerned with price.

Wall decorations- The bedding set shows wall hangings which can be purchased at the same site as the bedding (beyond-bedding). In addition, you can buy decorative throw pillows, windows treatments, Funky Zebra Fabric Memory/Memo Photo Bulletin Board, and even lamp shades

Frames - Buy these anywhere. You can get these very cheaply. I'd suggest a $1 can of spray paint so you can change the color of the frames for a customized look (I'd spray a few black, a few white and perhaps a few hot pink - though you could easily paint a zebra design - cheap and easy)

Mirrors - Again, buy the cheapest mirror you can find and custom paint it (Walmart or other discount store). If you must have a zebra print mirror, check this one out:

http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=zebra+mirror&rls=com.microsoft:en-us&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=8249285435254738615&ei=pIckTc7QL8T48Aayo8CGAg&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=4&ved=0CDgQ8wIwAw#

Rug - Walmart has several different style choices. Like this one:

Blanket/Throw: Again, walmart has a cheap solution that comes in several colors

http://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?search_query=zebra+throw&ic=48_0&Find=Find&search_constraint=4044

As far as accessorizing goes, keep in mind that a little zebra goes a long way. If you have zebra print bedding, you may want to consider solids for the lounge chair and/or throw and accent pillows. I'd pick up a lot of solids for accessories (black or white vase maybe with hot pink flowers) again, solid colored picture frames. Walmart also sells cork boards. You can paint these or cover them in a zebra fabric (or complementary fabric) and embellish it with grosgrain hot pink ribbon.

Please remember that a cheap can of spray paint can help you achieve the look you are after. Best of Luck.

Redecorating an 8 year olds bedroom, the room is small, so I need space saving suggestions?
Q. I also want the room to grow with her, so the furniture has to be neutral. I want her to be able to have sleep-overs, would a trundle be better than a double bed? Can I use the trundle space for storage when not using it as a bed?

A. Instead of a trundle bed I would buy the bunk style beds that are a full size bed on bottom and a twin on top. To make it really cute in a girls room, attach fabric panels to the top rail and drapr it down over the bottom bed. This will give a princess feel to it. Tie it back on the front corners if you would like. You can use the space under the bed for storage. Those space bags really do work and are great for out of season clothing. Wicker trunks are nice for storage and if you add a pretty cushion on top you have a seating area as well. Add a torchier lamp next to it and you have a great reading space. A desk is great at this age . I would suggest you if you don't already have one. Can get rid of some mess and used for homework. Place a mirror behind it and can also serve as a vanity as she grows older. Most important, Let your daughter choose things she likes for her room. She is old enough to help make decorating choices. Will converting a Jack-and-Jill bathroom to a traditional one devalue our home?
Q. Our J&J bathroom has three entrance ways: two doors leading to each of our kids' bedrooms and one from the hallway. I would like to create more (wall) space in each of the kid's rooms and more space inside the bathroom to accommodate two vanity sinks by drywalling over the two doors leading to the bedrooms.

A. I think it would add value. But you are better off asking a real estate agent in your area. This could differ from location to location
